Ice Fishing Competition
Ice fishing competitions are a fantastic way to find out who’s the top angler in your group! This traditional Finnish pastime provides the perfect opportunity for a memorable outdoor event. As an added option, participants can enjoy warm drinks or grilled sausages prepared on a fire pit by the ice. You might even hear cheers of excitement as someone reels in the biggest perch of their life!
The event can be organized in locations such as Lappeenranta or at Tykkimäki Resort, both of which can include dining and sauna facilities. In Lappeenranta, our Pallo Sauna facilities can serve as the base for the day.
Participants can bring their own gear, but we also provide complete ice fishing kits for those without equipment. Each kit includes a fishing rod, stool, ice scoop, safety picks, and auger. The competition lasts 2–3 hours, depending on your preferences. Before starting, we review the rules and ensure everyone knows how to use the equipment. At the end of the competition, the catch is weighed, and the best fishers are awarded!
In Lappeenranta, the perfect spot for post-competition celebrations is our Pallo Sauna, where a warm sauna and hot tubs await, accompanied by a delicious meal.
