Rent an e-Fatbike from Lappeenranta Harbour

An electric-assist fatbike gets you up the hill effortlessly, and the ride back home doesn't turn into a survival story. The wide tyres grip well on sand paths, root-laced trails and steep climbs alike.

The bikes come with three assist levels: Eco stretches the battery further and suits flat terrain, Trail is the all-round setting that handles most situations, and Boost unleashes the full power for steep climbs — or for those moments when you just feel like pulling hard for the fun of it.

The easiest route to start with is the Lappeenranta shoreline trail (rantaraitti). You'll connect straight from the harbour onto a well-maintained route that runs along the Saimaa shore and offers stunning views without any technical challenges. There are a couple of decent climbs along the way where you can test just how effortlessly the bike tackles the hills. When you want to head deeper into the forest, we recommend downloading the Trailmap app, which shows you the local trails, their difficulty levels and the most popular routes. Our staff at the rental point are also happy to help.

Each rental includes a helmet and a orientation to the bike. The bikes don't have a bottle holder, so bring a backpack for longer rides.
